Background and Purpose: As vulnerable groups, children and adolescents are the target of many crimes, including crimes with the goal of economic gain, and therefore they need the support of the legislator. The purpose of this article is to analyze the crimes with economic purpose in the Law on Protection of Children and Adolescents 2019.
Materials and Methods: This article is descriptive and analytical. Materials and data are also qualitative and data collection was used in collecting materials and data.
Ethical Considerations: In this article, the originality of the texts, honesty and trustworthiness are respected.
Findings: The findings showed that trafficking of children and adolescents, economic exploitation, sexual abuse of children and adolescents, such as prostitution for economic purposes and selling tobacco to children or selling tobacco to children, are among the crimes with economic purposes in the protection law. Children and adolescents have been criminalized by the legislator in 2019. The legislator's approach in this regard to all kinds of crimes with economic purpose against children is comprehensive to a large extent.
Result: The result is that the legislator has given a new life to the criminal laws and technical criminalization in the field of labor law by criminalizing protective cases in the labor law, which has considered harsh punishments for the exploitation of children in the child and adolescent protection law.
