Abstract
Background and Aim: notary offices are one of the legal and infrastructure units that have been increasingly given serious attention in the jurisdictions of different countries, including Iran. The purpose of this article is to examine the affiliation of the Iranian Notaries Union to the World Union of Notaries.
Materials and Methods: This article is descriptive and analytical. Materials and data are also qualitative and data collection was used in collecting materials and data.
Ethical Considerations: In this article, the originality of the texts, honesty and trustworthiness are observed.
Findings: The findings showed that due to infrastructural problems and specific judicial and administrative procedures in the regulation and validation of official documents on the one hand and lack of familiarity with the principles and international laws, Iran is currently not a member of the International Union of Notaries.
Conclusion: Iran's joining the International Union of Notaries has made it possible for Iranian representatives to be present in these circles and as a result of this opportunity, while promoting Iran in the international arena, Iranian representatives can introduce Iran's rights as correctly as possible, while The existence of inconsistency in the laws of notaries and clerks and their lack of up-to-dateness requires the necessity of transformation in this part of the country's legal system.
