Background and Aims: The purpose of this article is to examine the agility of the production process using smart industry mechanisms.
Materials and Methods: The research method was applied in terms of purpose, and in terms of the method of collecting information, it was part of mixed research (qualitative-quantitative). And in the quantitative part of the research, all the managers of the country's food industry were included, and 340 people were selected as subjects by stratified random sampling. The data collection tool was interview in the qualitative part and researcher-made questionnaire in the quantitative part. The validity of the questionnaire in terms of form and content was confirmed by several experts, convergent validity was confirmed by calculating the average variance extracted, and divergent validity was confirmed by calculating the square root of AVE. The reliability of the questionnaire was obtained through Cronbach's alpha for the whole questionnaire at 0.86. Cronbach's alpha, Kolmogorov-Smirnov and confirmatory factor analysis were used to analyze the data.
Ethical Considerations: In all stages of writing the present research, while respecting the originality of the texts, honesty and trustworthiness have been observed.
Findings: Among the 52 indicators (items) available, 13 main components and 4 dimensions can be identified.
Conclusion: The results showed that the main dimensions of production process agility with the 4-industry intelligence approach included smart production, smart employees, smart products and smart supply chain respectively. The fit of the model was also examined.
