Abstract
Background and Aim: The aim of the current research is to investigate the legal criminal policy of Iran regarding the prevention of the injury of environmentalists.
Materials and Methods: This research is of theoretical type and the research method is descriptive-analytical and the method of data collection is library and has been done by referring to documents, books and articles.
Findings: In environmental proceedings, granting the necessary legal position to non-governmental organizations to "declare a crime", file a lawsuit, present evidence and documents to prove the crime, participate in all stages of the crime investigation, and finally "objection to the decisions of the courts", a major development. on the one hand, it solves one of the gaps in Iran's legal system, and on the other hand, it ensures the effective participation of these organizations in the implementation of environmental norms.
Ethical Considerations: In order to organize this research, while observing the authenticity of the texts, honesty and fidelity have been observed.
Conclusion: The result of the current research is the need to create a suitable platform for public participation in environmental protection in the form of non-governmental organizations; The realization of this participation requires free access to environmental information, the participation of the public in the decision-making process, decision-making, proceedings and environmental justice.
