Background and Aim: One of the examples of sufficiency in marriage according to Imami jurists, along with conditions such as faith and Islam, is the ability of the husband to meet the needs of the wife and the necessities of her life.
Materials and Methods:This research is of theoretical type and the research method is descriptive-analytical and the method of data collection is library and has been done by referring to documents, books and articles.
Ethical Considerations:In order to organize this research, while observing the authenticity of the texts, honesty and fidelity have been observed.
Findings: One of the issues discussed in this regard is whether at the beginning of the marriage the spouse is able to pay the alimony of the spouse is one of the conditions for the validity of the marriage or whether the marriage is valid without the spouse being able to pay alimony.
Conclusion: In this article, the authors have examined the issue of the condition of being able to pay alimony in a marriage contract and after mentioning and examining the arguments of those who believe in the condition and those who believe in not being able to pay alimony, have proved the theory of the condition of being able to pay alimony in marriage. As a result, the lack of alimony has no effect on the validity of the marriage
