Abstract
Background and purpose: Corruption has always been one of the main factors preventing societies and institutions from achieving their desired goals and one of the fundamental obstacles to their growth and development throughout history. Therefore, the existence of a supervisor to prevent misconduct by officials and executors is essential, which has always been considered in the governance method of Imam Ali (AS). This article aims to investigate the role of public supervision in preventing financial corruption among officials in Imam Ali’s conduct.

Materials and Methods: In this article, the research method is descriptive-analytical, and the data collection method is through library research.

Ethical Considerations: In writing this article, documented referencing and honesty have been considered.

Findings: Imam Ali (AS) utilized internal and external supervision in his governmental system. Internal oversight is carried out by the individual themselves over their thoughts and actions, while in external supervision the performance of the executives is supervised by other levels. External supervision itself is divided into direct and indirect.

Conclusion: Public supervision is considered one of the most important and best practical solutions for monitoring the performance of the government and officials, and it has been highly emphasized in Alawi governmental practices (AS), having a high deterrent effect in preventing misconduct and financial corruption among officials and executors.
