Abstract
Background and Aim: Economic crimes are one of the most important issues in the current Iranian society, which has many destructive economic and social effects. Despite various laws and efforts, the fight against this type of crime has not been as effective as it should have been. The present article seeks to examine the important issue of what are the challenges of tackling economic crime and the solutions that can be proposed in this regard.
Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive-analytical article using the library method to investigate the question.
Ethical considerations: In this article, the originality of the texts, honesty and trustworthiness have been observed.
Findings: Uncertain definition and complex nature of economic crimes, difficulty in detecting economic crimes, multiple legislative authorities, multiple authorities dealing with economic crimes, use of neutralization techniques by economic criminals, economic crimes committed by legal entities, ambiguity in legislation and lack of restraint The most important challenges are dealing with economic crimes.
Conclusion: Law reform, organizational oversight of financial activities, prevention through reform of inefficient and ambiguous laws, as well as situational prevention including conflict of interest resolution, banking system supervision, reducing the role of government in the field of entrepreneurship and social prevention including public education and public participation In reporting economic crimes, the most important strategies are to deal with economic crimes.
